Not far from Stepanakert, the capital of Artsakh, a cluster missile fired by Azerbaijan has been discovered, containing more than 260 exploded and unexploded fragmentation bomblets, which, according to the provisions of all international agreements, is prohibited for use against civilian populations.
The area where the missile was discovered has economic significance. People here are engaged in livestock breeding, horticulture, and beekeeping.
There is no military installation nearby. Demining groups of the Rescue Forces Department of the State Emergency Service will subsequently destroy the munitions discovered in the pasture and adjacent forests.
In recent days, Armenian and foreign media outlets present in Artsakh have filmed and covered the work of the deminers.
The State Emergency Service once again urges our compatriots to immediately call the round-the-clock telephone numbers
911, 112, 101 in the event of discovering a bomb or other explosive materials in their yards, gardens, or even forests.
