Despite the efforts of the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group aimed at establishing a humanitarian ceasefire in the region, Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership continues to disregard and violate all the agreements reached for that purpose, declares Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan.
“As in previous instances, the agreement reached through the mediation of the United States of America and with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, which reaffirmed the parties’ commitment to bring to life and maintain the humanitarian ceasefire agreed upon in Moscow on October 10 and in Paris on October 17 at the initiative of the presidents of the Russian Federation and the French Republic, has today again been grossly violated by official Baku. Particularly in the second half of the day, Azerbaijan has resumed offensive operations along the entire length of the front line, with the use of rocket and artillery weapons,” wrote Harutyunyan on his Facebook page.
According to the president, all this confirms that the Azerbaijani authorities, enjoying the unconditional patronage of the Turkish authorities and the support of mercenary-terrorists, have no intention of resuming peaceful dialogue and openly signal that they will continue military efforts toward the final depopulation of Artsakh.
“Therefore, it is our nationwide task to fight for the safe and dignified existence of the Armenian population of Artsakh in their own homeland. The security and rights of our people are not subject to any concession, and our determination in this matter stands above all kinds of circumstances and desires,” added Harutyunyan.
Let us recall that the Azerbaijani side, for its part, claims that the Armenian side has violated the third ceasefire regime.
