In today’s video address of 26 October, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev confirmed that Turkish F-16 military aircraft are in his country. He said that from a satellite one can see and be convinced that they are on the ground, not in the sky.
“They came to take part in exercises and remained here when the war began. Our Turkish brothers left them to support us morally,” Aliyev said and threatened: “But if there is an attack against us from outside, they will see those F-16s.”
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, addressing his people today by video message, said that the Karabakh conflict must be resolved either by political or by military means.
“I propose, if you wish, that the conflict be resolved peacefully, then we will cease hostilities. But we must be told immediately that Armenia is to withdraw from our lands. We must be given a timetable — in how many days they are to leave this region, in how many days the other region. Armenia has not given us that timetable. In that case, if the ceasefire continues and the issue remains frozen, then that is not in our interest,” Ilham Aliyev declared.
