The Ministry of Justice has not handed over Atilla Çiçek and Hüseyin Yıldırım, who are of Kurdish ethnicity, to Turkey. This was stated in a communiqué issued by the RA Ministry of Justice.
«In addition to the communiqué issued by the National Security Service, we inform that the Ministry of Justice is the competent body to transfer a convict to the country of their citizenship for the purpose of serving the remainder of their sentence. However, no transfer to Turkey of Atilla Çiçek and Hüseyin Yıldırım, who are of Kurdish ethnicity, has been carried out by the Ministry of Justice.
Moreover, no question regarding the surrender or transfer of the aforementioned individuals has been discussed in the Ministry of Justice».
