Mirzoyan presents to Syrian counterpart the situation created by Azerbaijan’s attack

On 24 September, within the framework of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Syria’s Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad. The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Syria noted with satisfaction the centuries-old Armenian-Syrian friendship, greatly emphasising the role of the Syrian-Armenian community in the relations between the two countries. Referring to the Syrian crisis, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia noted that from the very first day of the crisis, Armenia has come out in favour of preserving Syria’s unity and sovereignty and of settling the problem through comprehensive dialogue.

On 24 September, within the framework of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Syria’s Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Syria noted with satisfaction the centuries-old Armenian-Syrian friendship, greatly emphasising the role of the Syrian-Armenian community in the relations between the two countries.

Referring to the Syrian crisis, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia noted that from the very first day of the crisis, Armenia has come out in favour of preserving Syria’s unity and sovereignty and of settling the problem through comprehensive dialogue.

The parties expressed grave concern regarding the involvement of mercenary terrorists from Syria by Azerbaijan during the attack unleashed against Artsakh.
