Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has stated that discussions with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on matters of regulating bilateral relations were constructive.
“Overall, the discussions with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan (during the phone conversation) were constructive. At the same time, the process of regulating relations, of course, requires time and further steps,” Bayramov told journalists.
He considered important Yerevan’s acceptance of the five fundamental principles of the peace treaty proposed by Azerbaijan.
“The first and important step we consider is that Armenia accepted the five basic points proposed by Azerbaijan. In recent years, Azerbaijan has worked and called on Armenia to regulate relations. In that regard, Azerbaijan proposed five basic points based on international law, the implementation of which is also beneficial to Armenia,” Bayramov added.
