Due to the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia by Azerbaijan, scheduled surgeries continue to be suspended in medical institutions operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh has stated that there is currently no shortage of essential medicines and medical supplies for first aid, but supply remains impossible.
At the “Republican Medical Center” of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, 11 patients are in the intensive care unit, 4 of whom are in extremely critical condition; doctors are doing everything possible to stabilise the patients’ condition.
At the “Arevik Medical Association” of the Republic of Artsakh, 10 children are in the intensive care unit. One of the children is in extremely critical condition. Artsakh doctors are providing the necessary medical care, consulting with specialists from the Republic of Armenia via online connection.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh is taking all possible measures to properly overcome the situation created by the blockade.
