The Market Surveillance Inspectorate Body has issued a statement, announcing that as of 1 January 2022, the law “On Reducing and Preventing the Harm to Health Caused by the Use of Tobacco Products and Their Substitutes” has entered into force.
According to the law, the display of tobacco products, their accessories, or substitutes for tobacco products is prohibited in sales halls and public catering establishments.
Failure to comply with the requirements of the law will result in the imposition of a fine in the amount of 200,000 to 250,000 drams.
Committing the same violation again within six months after the application of administrative penalty measures will result in the imposition of a fine amounting to double the administrative penalty applied.
