During the autumn military confrontation in the territory of Mountainous Karabakh, Armenian positions were struck by Turkey’s newest TRLG-230 missiles, wrote “Reporter.”
During the military operations in Karabakh, footage of Azerbaijani drones had appeared on the internet, in which it was evident that attacks on targets were being carried out not by the drones, but by other weapons. It has now become clear that Turkish systems were used against the Armenian side, among which the latest precision-guided TRLG-230 laser-guided missiles were employed. Moreover, it is not clear whose military controlled the process of delivering the strikes — Ankara’s or Baku’s.
The peculiarity of the use of this ammunition is as follows: initially, the missile flies with the aid of satellite communication. When approaching the target, it comes under the laser guidance of the Bayraktar TB2 drone, which operates as a target designator. After that, with approximately 100 percent accuracy, the missile strikes the target.
Thus, the Turks have managed to eliminate the main shortcoming of MLRS — low accuracy. Now their multiple launch rocket systems do not need to “work over areas.” It is sufficient to use a small amount of ammunition to achieve the desired result.
