Within the framework of a regional visit, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, will arrive in Armenia in the coming days. This is the first time that independent Armenia will receive the President of Egypt. The information was confirmed by the office of the President of Armenia, through Aghasi Margaryan.
“Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will arrive in Armenia in the coming days on an official regional visit. We cannot yet specify the exact date and agenda, as this is currently a process of discussion with our colleagues at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. For our part, this is a highly anticipated visit, and within the framework of its preparatory work, serious efforts were made in November 2022, when the President of the Republic of Armenia visited Egypt,” Margaryan said.
It should be noted that last year, the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, was in Sharm el-Sheikh to participate in the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-27).
According to the head of the administration, the Egyptian President’s visit will also take place thanks to the efforts of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Hrachya Poladyan.
Within the framework of his regional visit, the President of Egypt is currently in India, and he will also visit Azerbaijan.
