According to updated information, as a result of the provocation carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on 28 July, the exact number of wounded on the Armenian side is 4. This was reported by the RA Ministry of Defense.
As of 13:00, the situation in the Gegharkunik section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is stable, and the ceasefire agreement is largely being observed.
In the remaining sections of the border, the situation is relatively calm.
Let us recall that on 28 July, at around 03:40, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units once again resorted to provocation and violated the ceasefire in the north-eastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. According to the Ministry of Defense’s report, local battles were underway. As of 08:30, the Armenian side had three dead and 4 wounded.
According to the Ministry of Defense, as of 9:20, the Azerbaijani units, having suffered losses, were pushed back to their starting positions. The exchange of fire continued.
Later, the Ministry of Defense announced that through the mediation of the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces, an agreement was reached to restore the ceasefire regime on the line of contact of the Armenian-Azerbaijani forces in the north-eastern direction. At this time, the said agreement is largely being observed.
