The first anniversary of the passing of the late Hrayr Hovivian, one of the devoted members of the ADL’s large family who departed from us a year ago, will be observed this Sunday.
This was communicated to “Ramgavar Mamoul” from Beirut.
The requiem service will be held at the Cathedral of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Antelias, following the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy.
It should be recalled that our elder colleague, who held various responsible positions, was in recent times a member of the ADL Central Board.
Hrayr Hovivian belongs to that generation which opened their eyes during an important phase of the formation of the Armenian communities of the Middle East and passed through the period of the fiftieth anniversary commemorations of the Armenian Genocide, serving as a bridge between the elder generation that escaped the Genocide and the demanding youth of the diaspora.
