The first batch of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine has been brought to Armenia. The aircraft loaded with 15,000 doses of the vaccine landed at Zvartnots Airport.
“This will be directed to the vaccination of people in the risk group,” said Pavel Kuroshtin, counselor at the Russian Embassy in Yerevan, noting that this is a continuation of the large-scale support provided by the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia in the fight against the epidemic.
Also present at the airport were Artavazd Vanyan, Director General of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the RA Ministry of Health, and Andranik Arzumanyan, representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Yerevan.
