The return of prisoners has, unfortunately, been delayed once again, as the enemy has not implemented point 8 of the 9 November trilateral statement, which is a gross violation of the post-war humanitarian process. This was reported to Armenpress by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan.
“Negotiations are continuing with the mediation of the Russian side, and we hope that the Azerbaijani side will ultimately respect the signed statement and bring the humanitarian agreement to life, thereby contributing to the establishment of stability in the region,” the comment stated.
It should be noted that yesterday, on 8 April, the aircraft transporting Armenian prisoners of war arrived in Yerevan from Baku empty.
Dozens of relatives of the prisoners had gathered at Erebuni Airport.
