Former Yerevan Mayor Robert Nazaryan Arrested

Robert Nazaryan, former chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission and former mayor of Yerevan, has been arrested. This was stated by Marina Ohanyan, spokesperson for the Special Investigative Service, in an interview with Armenpress. “Robert Nazaryan has been arrested within the framework of a case being investigated by the SIS. I cannot provide further details at this time, but we will release information later,” Ohanyan said. Robert Nazaryan served as mayor of Yerevan from January 2001 to June 2003, and from 2008 to 2018 he served as chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission.
