Paris does not recognize the self-proclaimed Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated in a declaration by France’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, TASS reports.
“On 25 November, the Senate adopted a resolution calling on the French authorities to recognize the self-proclaimed Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. During the debate preceding the vote, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, recalled the French government’s position on this matter,” the statement said. “France does not recognize the self-proclaimed Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.”
