There is readiness on Russia’s part, and at the highest level there have been numerous attempts to resolve the issue. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated this during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly, responding to a question about how satisfied he is with Russia’s actions aimed at implementing point eight of the 9 November agreement.
“Let us fix that such a circumstance exists, for which we should also be grateful. You too understand well the degree of complexity of the issue. The sides are doing everything so that the issue is resolved,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Asked whether Azerbaijan is setting preconditions for the return of prisoners, the Deputy Prime Minister replied: “From my platform’s perspective, such a question has not been discussed.”
Asked whether Mher Grigoryan has received an offer from the authorities to be nominated on the electoral list, the Deputy Prime Minister replied: “I am not a party member. At this moment, such a question does not exist.”
