At the Shengavit branch of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, under the presidency of Judge Robert Papoyan, the hearing on the motion to arrest Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan concluded moments ago; the decision is to be announced this Sunday.
During a conversation with reporters, Samvel Dilbandyan, from Tsarukyan’s team of lawyers, said that the motion presented is illegal and groundless: “We have presented all our objections. I believe that the court will remain at the height of its standing and the motion presented will certainly be rejected.”
It should be noted that Gagik Tsarukyan has been charged with vote-buying. He does not accept the charge brought against him and characterizes it as a fabricated case.
