The governor of Syunik, Hunan Poghosyan, has addressed a call to the citizens:
“Dear Syunetsis,
These days, many Syunetsis are fulfilling their duty by serving the homeland and defending our homeland. Enormous work is also being done on the home front, uniting all the forces and capabilities of the civilian population. The struggle continues, and the residents of our communities and the brave Syunetsis—conscripts, reservists, volunteers, and veterans—are doing the possible and the impossible for the sake of a final and lasting victory, for the sake of the inviolability of our borders.
Dear Syunetsis, I ask that you not give in to panic, remain steadfast and firm in your communities, and follow the instructions of community leaders. Let each of you continue to serve the homeland in your place, in whatever way you can, helping both the front and strengthening the home front.
I call on you to take part in self-defense, to volunteer, and to serve the homeland, for the sake of our country and the future of our children”:
