Former commander of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army, Lieutenant General Jalal Harutyunyan, has been appointed head of the RA Ministry of Defense Military Control Service.
In an interview with Armenpress, the head of the RA Ministry of Defense Information and Public Relations Department, Kevork Altunyan, stated this.
“Jalal Harutyunyan has been appointed head of the Ministry of Defense Military Control Service. This position was previously held by Movses Hagopian,” Altunyan noted.
The position of head of the RA Ministry of Defense Military Control Service was held by Movses Hagopian, who submitted a resignation request on 18 November 2020.
Jalal Harutyunyan had been relieved of his position as commander of the Artsakh Defense Army on 27 October 2020, due to a wound sustained in a combat position.
