The residents of Lisagor village in the Shushi district have partially returned already, while the others, who are temporarily residing in various settlements of Artsakh, are preparing to return at the beginning of spring. The head of the community, Gagik Nasibyan, informed Armenpress of this, adding that renovation of the village’s private houses and agricultural programs are planned in Lisagor in the near future.

“Our village is one of the highest-altitude settlements in Artsakh. Therefore, during the winter months, the issue of heating is among the priorities for ensuring the living conditions of the population. Due to the war, not all Lisagor residents had managed to stock up on the necessary firewood for the winter, and in the initial post-war period, the other conditions necessary for heating were also lacking. The village’s private houses have also been partially damaged, and they need renovation to be made habitable again. We have applied to the Ministry of Urban Development regarding this issue, and in the near future, the program for renovating the damaged houses will get underway,” stated the head of Lisagor village, adding that electricity supply, gas supply, and telephone communication have already been restored in the village. The village administration and the medical station are functioning. Residents currently living in the village use the Goris-Stepanakert public bus route for transportation communication with Stepanakert, as well as their own cars. According to the head of the Lisagor community, teachers and students have also partially returned to the village, and classes will be organized as far as possible.

Before the 44-day war, Lisagor had 130 residents and a secondary school with 11 students.

According to the head of Lisagor village, agricultural programs, particularly involving livestock breeding, are also planned for the development of the community.

“Recently, false information was spread on the internet through a fake page, claiming that we had been ordered to leave Lisagor within three days, to depart, and so on, which does not correspond to reality at all and is disinformation,” emphasized the head of the community, detailing that moreover, they will continue to make plans for the development of the village.

The head of the community, Gagik Nasibyan, personally maintains continuous contact with the other Lisagor residents temporarily staying in various settlements of Artsakh, and noted that everyone is unequivocally and resolutely determined to return to the village once again and rebuild it.
