Malkhas Amoyan, a member of Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestling national team, became the European champion titleholder last weekend.
In the final of the 77 kg category at the European Championship held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, Amoyan, who competed against Turkish wrestler Yunus Emre Başar, recorded a victory with a score of 4-3.
After this bout, the Turkish wrestler left the mat with tears in his eyes.
It should be noted that Amoyan recently changed his weight class.
Previously, Amoyan competed in the 72 kg category, having become world champion.
