The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, held a meeting in France.
During the meeting, they discussed the issue of normalising relations between official Baku and Yerevan.
The negotiations took place with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs — Igor Khovaev of Russia, Andrew Schofer of the United States and Brice Roquefeuil of France.
The sides exchanged views on issues related to the normalisation of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk, also took part in the negotiations.
Prior to the meeting held under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian met with Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, discussing the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
This was announced by the French foreign ministry.
“One year after the end of military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh, Jean-Yves Le Drian received Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, held separate meetings with them, and then a joint meeting took place under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group,” the ministry stated.
It should be recalled that the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan are participating in the 41st session of the UNESCO General Conference in Paris.
