No Community in Syunik Province Is Blockaded: Security Council Secretary

Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council, assures that no community in Syunik Province is blockaded.

As reported by Armenpress, Armen Grigoryan said this during a briefing with journalists after a government meeting, responding to a question about whether settlements in Syunik Province would find themselves blockaded after Azerbaijan set up customs points on the problematic section of the Goris-Kapan road.

“Of course, the quality of the roads is not at a very high level, but recently extensive work has been carried out to improve the roads at least to a gravel level, and that work is continuing. We are confident that we will have an asphalt road,” said Grigoryan.

According to the Security Council Secretary, no communication problems have arisen in the settlements adjacent to the problematic section of the Goris-Kapan road.
