Arshak Karapetyan has been relieved of the post of Minister of Defense, and Suren Papikyan has been appointed to that post. We learn this from the decrees of the President of the Republic of Armenia.
The decrees are below.
“Based on the Prime Minister’s recommendation, in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution, as well as Part 1 of Article 5 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government: to relieve Arshak Karapetyan of the post of Minister of Defense”:
“Based on the Prime Minister’s recommendation, in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution, as well as Part 1 of Article 5 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government: to appoint Suren Papikyan as Minister of Defense”:
It should be noted that by another decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan has been relieved of the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
“Based on the Prime Minister’s recommendation, in accordance with Article 131 of the Constitution, as well as Part 1 of Article 5 of the Law on the Structure and Activities of the Government: to relieve Suren Papikyan of the post of Deputy Prime Minister,” the decree states.
