The bomb alert concerning the “Mekamoll Armenia” shopping center was false, according to a report by the “Shantnews” website, which cited officials from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The source also clarified that search operations at the center have been completed and everything is back to normal.
It should be recalled that today at 13:30, the National Crisis Management Center received information from the police that a message had been circulated on a social platform stating that bombs had been placed on the 1st and 2nd floors of the “Mekamoll Armenia” shopping center in Yerevan, which were to explode at 13:50.
One fire-fighting unit from the fire-rescue squad of the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as field groups from the rescue, firefighting and rescue operations organization division of the Special Purpose Rescue Operations Center of the Rescue Forces Department, were dispatched to the scene.
