The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to carry out the tasks set before it in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to Armenpress, this was stated in a communiqué issued by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to the source, round-the-clock monitoring of the situation at 30 observation posts and control over the maintenance of the ceasefire regime is being carried out by Russian Federation peacekeepers.
It was noted that the command of the Russian peacekeepers continues the negotiation process with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides regarding the resumption of unimpeded movement of vehicles along the Stepanakert-Goris road (through the Lachin corridor – ed.).
“A convoy with humanitarian cargo was escorted along the Goris-Stepanakert route.
Patrols were carried out in the Martakert, Martuni and Shushi regions along three routes.
A humanitarian campaign to provide food was held at the Stepanakert children’s rehabilitation center.
Continuous interaction with the general staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia is maintained in order to ensure the safety of Russian Federation peacekeepers and prevent possible incidents,” the communiqué stated.
