Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Ankara has received neither jets from the United States nor the money paid for them, the Anadolu agency reported.
“There were people who threatened us over the purchase of the S-400s, offering nothing in return. Now we are negotiating to buy F-16s, but we are being refused. We were promised F-35 aircraft, but the promise has not been kept. Although we paid about 1 billion 400 million dollars, the aircraft are not there, and the money has not been returned,” the head of state said.
He also noted that Turkey “always keeps its word and expects its partners to behave in the same way toward it.”
