The United States military was not involved in the strikes against Iran. As reported by Reuters, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder made such a statement in light of the drone attack on a military factory in Iran’s Isfahan.
According to Reuters, Ryder declined further comment.
Several other American officials, whose names were not mentioned, told the agency that Washington has no connection to what took place in Isfahan.
It should be noted that on Sunday, the IRNA agency reported that a powerful explosion had rumbled in the city of Isfahan, located in the central part of Iran. Later, the republic’s defence ministry announced that on Saturday, 28 January, an unsuccessful attack had been carried out by drones on one of the department’s centres. One of the devices was shot down, the other two fell into defensive traps and exploded. There were no casualties, and minor material damage was caused. The statement did not mention who, in Tehran’s view, was involved in the attack.
The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials and other well-informed sources, wrote on Sunday that Israel stands behind the explosion in Isfahan.
