Negotiations are underway to acquire a new batch of Su-30SM fighter jets. Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan made this announcement on 30 August during an interview with Radio Azatutyun.
“A program to modernize 4 Su-25 aircraft has also been signed, which we had been unable to implement for years, but has now become a reality,” the minister said, adding that the modernization of the fighter jets will be carried out in Russia.
The minister also noted that he was inspired by the creation of Armenian-Russian joint ventures in the military-industrial sector.
