Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan laid flowers in Paris before the newly installed bust in honor of world-renowned chansonnier Charles Aznavour, paying tribute to his memory.
As reported by the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the unveiling ceremony of the bust took place on the 97th anniversary of Aznavour’s birth, on 22 May, in Paris, at the Place de l’Odéon in the Latin Quarter. The Aznavourian family, survivors of the Armenian Genocide who had taken refuge in France, lived in one of the buildings in that part of the city.
The bust is the work of Armenian sculptor Alice Melikian.
