RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan laid a wreath and paid tribute at the memorial commemorating the innocent victims of the earthquake, located in the courtyard of the Holy Saviour’s Church in Gyumri. According to Armenpress, members of the National Assembly also paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the 1988 earthquake.
At the memorial “To the innocent victims, to the compassionate hearts,” representatives of the clergy offered prayers for the repose of the victims’ souls. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a brief conversation with the gathered residents of Gyumri, who expressed their support for the Prime Minister.
Also present at the tribute ceremony were Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan and the head of the Prime Minister’s staff, Eduard Aghajanyan.
