Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrived in Nizhny Novgorod as part of his official visit to Russia. At the airport, the Prime Minister was greeted by Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Governor Gleb Nikitin, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Yevgeny Lyulin, and Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod Yuri Shalabayev.
The head of the Government of the Republic of Armenia first visited the GAZ machine-building company’s plant, where he toured with the company’s president Vadim Sorokin and familiarised himself with the production.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister visited the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, where he laid a wreath at the eternal flame, paying tribute to the memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War. Nikol Pashinyan toured the Kremlin’s State Art Museum, and also visited the Bell Tower, the Walk of Military Glory, and the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael.
The Prime Minister held a private meeting with Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Governor Gleb Nikitin, with whom he discussed opportunities for developing cooperation in various fields.
The head of the executive branch also visited the Armenian Holy All-Savior Church and lit a candle.
Nikol Pashinyan concluded his visit to Nizhny Novgorod with a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community, during which the head of the Government of the Republic of Armenia addressed the results of the official visit to Russia and answered numerous questions regarding the situation created around Artsakh, cooperation between Armenia and Russia in the economic sphere, the implementation of investment programmes in the homeland, and other issues.
Prime Minister Pashinyan’s two-day official visit to Russia has concluded.
