According to data from the Artsakh Ministry of Health, 204 children have already been born in Artsakh’s maternity wards during the blockade imposed by Azerbaijan. This was reported by the Artsakh Information Headquarters in its daily bulletin.
Due to the Azerbaijani side’s terrorist behavior, newborn children and their mothers face serious problems every day related to shortages of infant formula, diapers, medicines, and other essential items.
6 children are in the neonatal and intensive care units of the children’s hospital.
9 adult patients are in the intensive care unit, 4 of whom are in extremely critical condition.
Due to the suspension of scheduled surgeries in all medical institutions of Artsakh, approximately 580 citizens have been deprived of the opportunity to resolve health problems through surgery.
To date, 70 patients have been transferred from Artsakh to Armenia through the mediation and accompaniment of the International Committee of the Red Cross to receive appropriate treatment.
