The beds are still sufficient, and the number of citizens requiring hospitalization is more manageable. Health Minister Arsen Torosyan said this today, 12 June, during a conversation with journalists at the National Assembly.
“As of yesterday, the number of critically ill patients was around 100, and the number of severe patients was around 420. That number has not dropped in recent days; it fluctuates around 500. In terms of the bed fund’s occupancy, we also have space in the intensive care units, but having space cannot be a positive assessment of the situation.
Among the critically ill, we have around 70 percent mortality, among the severe, less. Among those on ventilators, we have 90 percent mortality. Cases of death among young people have been the result of comorbidities,” the minister stated.
