Worldwide, 7 519 785 people have been infected with the coronavirus. This is according to data from the worldometers.info website as of 11 June.
The three countries with the highest number of coronavirus cases are the United States, where the figure has exceeded 2 million, Brazil, where more than 775,000 people have been infected, and Russia, where the number of cases has surpassed half a million.
A large number of infections have also been recorded in India, Great Britain and Spain. In these countries, the infection rate has exceeded 280,000.
Worldwide, more than half of those infected have recovered — 3 816 736 people. The disease has claimed 420 570 lives.
The United States again leads in the death toll, with more than 115,000 patients having died. It is followed by Great Britain, Brazil, Italy, Spain and France.
