Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan participated in the concluding consultation of the Defense Army command meetings. He wrote about this on his Facebook page and presented several highlights from his speech addressed to the senior officer staff.
“Official Baku has not renounced its anti-Armenian and belligerent policy. The clashes provoked in the Tavush section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, and then Turkey’s aggressive and overt involvement in the belligerent actions against the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh, once again confirm the reality that the sphere of army-building has been and remains the most priority direction of our state’s activity, and we must do our utmost for the development and strengthening of the army.
Both the acquisition of modern armaments and military equipment, and the creation of new architectural structures throughout the depth of the defense zone, and the solution of the social problems of the officer staff, shall always bear a continuous nature, remaining at the center of special attention of the Republic’s authorities and the entire people. The Armenian serviceman must be provided with all necessary conditions both for the defense of the Homeland and for meeting the needs of his own family.
Our army has been, is, and shall be strong and combat-capable, always ready to defend the borders of the homeland, the security and well-being of our people. This is a matter of the national agenda, and, combining the efforts and potential of the entire Armenian nation, we shall do our utmost to solve it successfully”
