The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement. As «Armenpress» learns from the announcement circulated by the MFA, the statement notes, in particular, the following.
«In a recent interview given to a number of media outlets, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, referring to the resolution of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and regional processes, again used anti-Armenian, destructive, expansionist vocabulary and ideas, voicing programmes and goals corresponding to them.
Such a policy is a gross violation of international law, international humanitarian law and the agreements reached. It aims to torpedo the initiatives for establishing peace and maintaining stability and to dismantle the existing formats.
The leader of Azerbaijan has also specifically targeted the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship and the peacekeeping mission carried out in Artsakh by one of the co-chairing countries, the Russian Federation, levelling absurd accusations against their activities.
The format of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship is the only format agreed upon by all parties to the resolution of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.
We highly appreciate the mission of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh and consider unacceptable any attempt to cast a shadow on their activities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemns Azerbaijan’s behaviour, being convinced that such a policy carried out at the state level should also receive an appropriate assessment from the international community».
