OSCE Monitoring on the Artsakh-Azerbaijan Border

In accordance with the agreement reached with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, on 21 August the OSCE mission will conduct a planned monitoring of the ceasefire regime on the line of contact between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, at the Omar mountain pass. The press service of the Artsakh Foreign Ministry reports that the monitoring will be conducted from the positions of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army by the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, field assistants to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office (PRCiO) Ghenadie Petrikan (Moldova), as well as the

In accordance with the agreement reached with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, on 21 August the OSCE mission will conduct a planned monitoring of the ceasefire regime on the line of contact between the armed forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, at the Omar mountain pass.

The press service of the Artsakh Foreign Ministry reports that the monitoring will be conducted from the positions of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army by the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, field assistants to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office (PRCiO) Ghenadie Petrikan (Moldova), as well as the PRCiO’s personal assistant Simon Tiller (United Kingdom).

From the opposite side of the line of contact, the monitoring will be conducted by field assistant to the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office (PRCiO) Mihail Olaru (Moldova) and Martin Schuster (Germany), a staff member of the PRCiO office.

The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have expressed their readiness to support the conduct of the monitoring and to ensure the safety of the OSCE mission members.
