In its communiqué dated 5 April 2022, the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party’s Lebanon Regional Board had affirmed that it would stand by the candidates of the Armenian national parties. Faithful to its promise, the ADL fulfilled its duty and stood by the candidate of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party and the candidates of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, in light of local conditions.
Unfortunately, this noble stance of the ADL was exploited by the ringleader of a group of street elements seeking to split the party, whose identity is known to us, and who, using his leverage in Armenia, spread disinformation that the structure of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party in the diaspora is opposed to the administration of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This news belongs to the category of disinformation of illegitimate forces that obscure the noble arena of politics, serve dark forces, and exploit the Party.
The Armenian Democratic Liberal Party’s Lebanon Regional Board hereby declares that by such an immoral and venomous attribution of illegitimate activity, the credit of a Party with a historic role cannot be diminished. These forces will be disappointed sooner or later, because before them they will find patriots who believe in liberalism and who, in contrast to them, do not sell out the homeland. Our noble people’s sons and daughters are asked not to fall victim to this disinformation.
As for the media outlet that sells its dignity for “two pennies,” by publishing this false “news” it has proven not only how disgraceful and indescribable it is, but also how utterly lacking in standards it is.
The Armenian Democratic Liberal Party has always been a party that believes in the destiny of the Armenian nation and works for it, and it shall never deviate from that path.
