Since the early hours of this morning, the entire Armenian people has been on the move. The invincible borders of Artsakh are once again under bombardment, and the settlements of Artsakh’s civilian population are also under attack.
Once again, the treacherous enemy is attempting, through provocative activity, to endanger the people and army of Artsakh, who have forged their independence through heroic narratives.
Turkey is also taking an undisguised part in actions threatening the peace and stability of the region, deploying not only the modern weaponry at its disposal but also the large numbers of mercenary terrorist groups operating under its command, lending the military operations unprecedented proportions.
This alignment of circumstances makes it clear that today the Armenian nation once again faces the question of its very survival, and in this war we have no alternative but victory.
In view of this serious and dangerous situation, the Central Board of the ADL strongly condemns the military attacks unleashed by Azerbaijan’s armed forces and its accomplice Turkey against Artsakh and its civilian population, and unconditionally affirms that the entire responsibility for the possible consequences of the escalation of tension rests exclusively with the Azerbaijani side and its accomplice Turkey.
This moment is also important in that the Armenian people, with its long memory, should record as fact and distinguish who are the true friends of the Armenian people and the international circles that respect the right to live in peace in one’s free country and stand in support of the realisation of that right.
To that end, the Central Board of the ADL also calls upon the international community and the civilised world to move beyond the attempt at formal calls for restraint and to respond appropriately to the dangerous situation created, urging Azerbaijan and Turkey to sobriety through effective means.
At this fateful hour, the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, as always, expresses its full solidarity with the brave heroic soldiers defending the homeland’s soil and the dignity of the Armenian at the border at the cost of blood, and with the homeland’s state, expressing its readiness to stand by and support the heroic people of Artsakh and the Armenian Army, guarantor of their security, with all means at its disposal.

Understanding the seriousness of the moment, we must unite, act in an organised manner, in order to emerge victorious from this war imposed upon us.
The war is multi-fronted: apart from the battlefield and the diplomatic war, a sharp informational struggle is also under way, and it is therefore necessary to be vigilant, to refrain from spreading disinformation, and, in order to obtain reliable information, to follow exclusively the official news feed.
Today it is the duty of every Armenian to stand by the side of the Armenian soldier and the Armenian Army, and we therefore also call upon our compatriots in the diaspora to make their unanimous contribution to this war by taking part in the nationwide fundraising campaign launched by the “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, aimed at the firm defence of the borders. Sharing the heavy grief of loss, we express our deepest condolences to the families of the Armenian sons who fell victim to the Azerbaijani attacks and to the entire Armenian people.
Yes, we shall win, because our struggle is for the defence of the right to exist and for justice, and our victory has no alternative.
