Armenian-American Community Remains United in Its Support for the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh: Western America Armenian Council

The Western America Armenian Council of North America strongly condemns the warlike attack instigated by Azerbaijan in recent hours against the freedom-loving and independent Republic of Armenia and the independent Republic of Artsakh. Accordingly, we condemn this shameful act, which has been instigated by Turkey. While Armenia and Artsakh diligently pursue peace and dialogue, Azerbaijan encourages war. As always, the Armenian-American community remains united in its support for the Republics of Armenia and Artsakh. This support is unconditional and absolute, because both republics are waging a life-and-death struggle to secure their existence against their enemies. We salute the heroic stance

We salute the heroic stance of our brave soldiers — the Armenian Army and the Artsakh Defense Army — who are fighting to secure the situation in the region and the safety of the population.

We call upon the international community, including the U.S. Congress, the President of the United States and the departments under the U.S. Government, to unconditionally condemn the attacks carried out by Azerbaijan and to uphold Section 907 and the United States Freedom Support Act, in order to prohibit aid from the United States of America to Azerbaijan.

We believe in the slogan “One nation, one purpose,” in which we see the guarantee of our one future. We shall follow the situation closely and shall combine all the resources of our community to help the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh.

Our call is that each of us feel the national duty upon our shoulders to participate in the fundraising at armenianfund.org, and to bring our practical participation to the protest in front of the Azerbaijani consulate, which will take place on Wednesday, 30 September 2020.
