The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC), remaining true to its principles, undertook and carried out a tree-planting initiative during the month of November dedicated to the memory of the heroes who fell in the battles fought for the defense of the homeland. During this period, more than 6,000 trees were planted by the FPWC in the Vayots Dzor and Ararat provinces.
Applying the specially selected “Target Plant Concept” (TPC) method, wild olive trees, pear trees, and almond trees were planted in the areas of Urtsadzor, Hovazadzor, and Mozrov. Within the framework of the method applied by the FPWC for years, seeds of local endemic (native) plant species were selected, and the seedlings were carefully cultivated in nurseries, thus being adapted to the area where they were to be planted. Thanks to this method, a high survival rate for the plants is ensured.
