PACE co-rapporteurs Kimmo Kiljunen and Boriana Åberg, co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee for Armenia, have arrived in Armenia to learn about the Lachin corridor crisis on the ground. They were received today by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan. The information was published on the parliament’s website.
According to the report, the President of the National Assembly emphasized the need for a meeting with the Artsakh residents who have taken refuge in Armenia.
He underscored the importance of the report being prepared by the committee, entitled “Humanitarian Consequences of the Blockade of the Lachin Corridor.”
During the meeting, details were presented about the Lachin corridor crisis and its consequences.
The co-rapporteurs plan to visit the border regions.
