The situation created after the provocations carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is relatively stable as of midday on 23 May, with no incidents recorded. This was announced by the RA Ministry of Defense’s Department of Information and Public Relations.
On the evening of 22 May, part of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces personnel who had entered the territory of Armenia returned to their starting positions. The claim circulating in the press that “more than 1,000 Azerbaijani soldiers are near the Black Lake in the Syunik Province” does not correspond to reality.
Units of the Armenian Armed Forces are in full control of the situation, continuing to keep the Azerbaijani soldiers blockaded.
