Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is calling for strict adherence to the anti-epidemic rules aimed at preventing the spread of the “Corona” virus. Pashinyan stated this during a live broadcast on his “Facebook” page.
“Today I see people on the street greeting each other by hand, people standing very close to each other while talking; this is a very big problem, and we could face a serious crisis. Since the ‘Corona’ virus will be with us for at least a year, we must learn to live alongside it. But that does not mean creating a crisis without restraint. I call for strict adherence to the anti-epidemic rules. Three of them fully create the possibility of not becoming infected and not infecting others: maintaining social distance, not touching the face with unwashed hands, and not using uncleaned utensils,” said Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister noted that every day more than a hundred new cases of infection with the “Corona” virus are recorded in Armenia; if this trend continues, it could lead to new restrictions.
A state of emergency was declared in Armenia on 16 March and has been extended until 14 May, at 5:00 p.m.
