“Sputnik Armenia,” no agreement has been reached at this time regarding a possible meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stated this today during a conversation with journalists.
“A meeting with US President Trump and Secretary of State Pompeo is on our foreign policy agenda. It will take place, whenever it takes place,” the minister said.
In response to journalists’ observation that Armenia’s diplomatic corps has not managed to organize a meeting between Pashinyan and the US leaders, Mnatsakanyan disagreed, saying, “they are wrong.”
“We have not had a meeting with Trump and Pompeo, but our level of relations with the US has not diminished because of that,” Mnatsakanyan said.
Let us recall that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to the United States is scheduled for September 22, to participate in the UN General Assembly.
On the same day, Prime Minister Pashinyan will meet with the Armenian community at 4:00 PM Los Angeles time.
