Artsakh Republic Foreign Minister and presidential candidate Masis Mayilyan, within the framework of the campaign tour launched by the members of the “New Artsakh” alliance, visited the communities of Kert, Karahunj and Kolkhozaschen in the Martuni district on 3 March, where they held meetings with the public and presented the pre-election program.
Among the members of the “New Artsakh” alliance were also present the representatives of the ADL, Bardugh Galstyan and Narine Farsyan.
It should be noted that the “New Artsakh” alliance is formed from the Identity and Unity, Tomorrow’s Artsakh and Armenian Democratic Liberal parties.
In the village of Kert in the Martuni district, the political force declared: “we come to change.” According to Krikor Sahakyan, who heads the list, they have the necessary potential: “Having become acquainted with the ‘New Artsakh’ alliance, the conclusion is the following: the alliance possesses the necessary specialists in both economic development and the financial sector, doctors, lecturers, teachers and lawyers — that is, the kind of specialists that will be needed today to ensure future developments.”
In the event of success in the parliamentary elections, “New Artsakh” promises radical reforms. The current system of state governance does not satisfy the political force.
According to Bardugh Galstyan, they will introduce an insurance system in the agricultural sector so that the farmer cultivates the land. “People who sit in the city occupying high positions will not cultivate your lands, paying you only a few pennies, bringing you to the state where ‘you are not capable of cultivating, therefore we will cultivate.’ That is, the farmer himself must first and foremost be the user of both the property and the reserve fund lands allocated to his community,” said Galstyan.
At the meeting held in Karahunj, the representatives of the “New Artsakh” alliance of parties emphasized that people are the foundation of all their programs; they believe that under conditions of law and equality it is possible to ensure stable development in the country.
“We must change the mindset to the greatest extent, make the person a value, establish legality, establish an equal legal field — these are very important provisions that today are as necessary as air and water,” said alliance member Vahram Ghahramanyan.
