The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has positively assessed the economic reforms taking place in Armenia. According to the IMF, Armenia’s economic performance is strong, with healthy growth, low inflation, a stable financial system, amid growing external reserves and higher revenues.
The IMF gave this assessment within the framework of the first review of Armenia’s performance under the Stand-By Arrangement. The organization emphasized that it is important to maintain the momentum of reforms to strengthen revenue collection, including completing reforms in the area of property taxation.
According to the IMF’s assessment, efforts aimed at improving governance through the creation of a comprehensive anti-corruption system will strengthen sustainable and inclusive growth.
