Armenia’s Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan has upheld the appeal filed by Anahit Bakhshyan’s lawyer against the decision to close the criminal case into the October 27 attack. Former National Assembly deputy Anahit Bakhshyan made this announcement in a post on her Facebook page.

“I wish to inform that today I received the response to my appeal against the decision to close the criminal case into the October 27 attack, addressed to the Prosecutor General on 18 December 2019. The appeal was upheld on the basis of the well-written, well-founded, 37-page appeal submitted by my lawyer Zaruhi Mejlumyan. This means that the case, which had been closed regarding the organisers and sponsors of the terrorist act committed against the state of the Republic of Armenia on October 27, will once again go to investigation. In other words, this means that the Republic of Armenia is acting as the injured party in that state terrorism and will do everything to expose the enemies of our state, whether from within or from without. We will follow the process closely.”
